I've had this Pull-up Bar for a good few weeks now and it's quite good. One of the main reasons to why I purchased this bar compared to the other ones that you can get, this particular one has two metal cups that screw into the inner part of the door frame and once those metal cups have been screwed in, all you then have to do is twist the bar so the ends start to open out and twist the ends into the metal cups. This way the bar will be somewhat 97% percent secure and won't get loose in any way..not that mine has but just trying to make a point. Overall, this is a great pull-up bar and the main reason I purchased this one once again is because of it actually does have support for health and safety and there's no way that the bar will fall off the door. Only down side of this bar is that if you ever decide to move the bar to another door frame, the metal cups that were screwed in will have the holes left and won't really make the door frame look nice.

Very pleased with quality. Bought this to enable me to do proper sit ups as I put it at the bottom of the door and put my feet under it. When finished take it to to the top of the door and then if my washing needs to air off I can hang the clothes up on it which is double usage and saves space - perfect :)

Pros: Good quality, feels robust, good mechanism inside. Does the job.
Cons: Works loose easily, needs to be fixed or feels unsafe and insecure. Constantly tightening it before and during use.

Four stars because it is a good value simple tool that does the job, but it took ages to arrive (very late), came in a massive box, with another box inside it, and the 'self supporting' system was awful. Had to use the fixing cups, but once they were in place it is very secure and feels very safe.

So overall, I would recommend this product.

Paul.

Bought this bar for my 10 year old daughter in order for her to build up upper body and arm strength for gymnastics. Simple to install and does the job perfectly.

Very easy to use in a doorway, and surprisingly resilient. This kit is excellent. I put it up tlin my bedroom doorway to do my pulls, then take it down again. No fuss no muss, better than those "hang on the frame" jobbies.

It worked well for a few days after fitting inside the door frame. However, after a couple of days a crack started to appear in the timber wall adjoining the door frame. Conclusion: the Pull-Up Bar was good quality but it should come with clear instructions as to where it should be fixed, i.e. within a brick or stone wall, not timber.

Good grips, strength of the bar is impressive, I weigh 95kg so was skeptical if this could hold my weight but it does. Word to the wise, for anyone using a product like this, - make sure there's a mat or cushion below where you pull up, this has slipped on me on a few occasions and I have fallen square onto my knee caps and it has hurt like hell!

its a strong bar but for me I do note like the fact it spins. Bought this for my kids who love playing on my plain bar version but as this spins they really did not like this. I ended up putting a screw though it to stop this BUT the quality and the way it attaches is slick.

Well made. Adjusts to door width. Very strong spring action holds in place so can be used with a thin pad on each end of bar instead of screwing the supplied end plates into door jamb. Makes ideal for tenant or student accommodation. Holds fast in use.
