Alfie's voice is so clear and easy to listen to. I like all types of music Alfie's is good relaxing or driving music. Of course his version of Bring Him Home is well known and I enjoy re playing it.

Alfie Boe is one of my favourite theatrical singers and I have thoroughly enjoyed watching him perform live several times as Jean Val Jean in Les Miserables. This is only my opinion, but I am not keen on a couple of choices of song on this CD - "All the Time in the World", for example (I simply prefer Louis Armstrong) and I don't feel "Street Where You Live" is the best version. But over all Alfie's beautiful velvet voice wins me over every time. The duet with Matt Lucas is actually quite entertaining too and I wasn't expecting to like that one at all! In my opinion Alfie is one of those performers who sounds even better LIVE. I would recommend this CD to fans of this kind of music - it is rare we are blessed with such an enormous talent as Alfie Boe

Earlier this year I had the chance to go and see "Les Miserables" but decided against it, however, as an Alfie Boe fan, I bought this album and the title song was in it - I was blown away! So, I bought the 25th Anniversary DVD of "Lez Miz" (with Alfie as the lead actor) and thoroughly enjoyed it, and have watched it three times already. The "Bring Him Home" number makes me weep every time I hear it, as I can relate it to the musical. The remainder of the numbers are good, too, in case you were wondering.

The richness of Alfie Boe's voice comes to the full on this cd, I can't stop playing it.
There is great selection of tracks and its good to hear some oldies like "If I ruled the world " given a new lease of life.
I also like the idea of a man singing songs from shows the were written fof females to sing, showing how versatile the artist is.My only comment being that one of my favorite show songs "The Impossible Dream" would have been better without Matt Lucas>
I would love to hear Alfie Boe sing "I only want to say(Gethsemane)" from Jesus Christ Super Star. Perhapes on the next cd !

A thoroughly enjoyable Alfie Boe album. His voice is wonderful and the title track is beautifully rendered. A must for anyone who loves the tenor voice and although he might not be Pavarotti or Carreras, he has a delightful tone and his rendering of known songs have just that 'je ne sais quoi' of a great singer.

I loved Alfie Boe in the role of Jean Valjean (Les Miserables), so having sampled the songs, I took a chance and bought the album. Boe has such a rich voice - who can forget his duet with Renee Fleming on the balcony at Buckingham Palace this summer. The songs on this album are mostly old favourites from the musicals, so you can't help but find yourself singing along. and it is a very enjoyable accompaniment to listen to while cooking or ironing.

The title song is one of the most evocative songs ever and the rest of the CD is also lovely.

This is a wonderful CD with some lovely tracks, beautifully song by a top class singer. My own particular favourites were 'Bring Him Home', 'As if we never said goodbye' and 'Some Enchanted Evening'. The inclusion of these songs was why I bought it in the first place and they didn't disappoint. I would recommend this album to anyone who loves beautiful songs sung by a brilliant tenor voice.
